Everybody knows well
that Sri Lanka is a well-prepared location for wild animals berfore it became
internationally famous. Bundala National Park is also such a place where most of wild
animals live with no interruption from the people. The following datails about this
wild-life reservating area show clearly how it contributes a great deal to the most
extincting bird species, not only in Sri Lanka but the birds in foreign countries also to
rescue themselves from such natural and other forms of desasters, taking place as a result
of shortsighted vision of the people and activities performed by them not thinking even of
their own future. |

living place in search of comfort and relaxation birds are also used to flying for their
own world looking for better environment. |
| Bundala National Park is located in Sri
Lanka. It is 246 km away from South East of Colombo, the capital in Sri Lanka. It is
the first Sri lnaka's Ramsar Wetland. It is an area of 6216 hectares.It is honoured
internationally because of its much important role, and also it is accommodating nearly
20,000 shorebirds, at any given time over the period of August to April. |
| This unique location is with lagoons
and inter-tidal mud flats on which thousands of beautiful and rare birds are resting and
feeding themselves. This is a lonely paradise for 149 of resident and also migratory bird
species. Most of wintering birds rest and roam with much ease with the pleasant
surrounding encompassed by the golden beaches and sand dunes frequented by nesting sea
turtles and the thorny scrub jungle, where elephants, deers and wild buffalos are
wandering here and there. |

of wild animals in this park. Bundala National Park is attractive to the beauty of Sri
Lanka and it enriches and spreads the natural beauty in Sri Lanka far and wide in the
world. |
